Thomas Huber is born in 1955, Zürich, Switzerland. From 1977 to 1978 Huber studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Basel. In 1979 he was educated at the Royal College of Art in London and from 1980 to 1983 he studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. From 1992 to 1999 he was professor at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig and in 1992 he was appointed interim director of the Centraal Museum in Utrecht. Along with Bogomir Ecker, he realized the “Künstlermuseum” in 2001, the reconfiguration of the Museum Kunstpalast's collection in Düsseldorf. From 2000 to 2002 Huber was Chairman of the Deutscher Künstlerbund (German Artists Association). Thomas Huber is an artist who fuses image, text and lectures in his work.
